Royal Caribbean will allocate hundreds of millions of dollars for reconstruction of Ukraine’s ports

Boris Kolesnikov, chairman of Ukraine’s Supreme Soviet Committee on Transport and Communications, announced that Royal Caribbean was going to spend hundreds of millions of dollars for the reconstruction of Ukrainian ports.

According to Mr. Kolesnikov, several meetings were held with the company’s representatives, with the purpose of accession of Yalta and Sevastopol ports to cruise business’ world map. Development of tourism business is possible in three Ukrainian ports: Sevastopol, Odessa and Yalta. However, these are exactly ports of Yalta and Sevastopol that need to modernise infrastructure. After the upgrade, these ports will be able to serve the largest cruise vessels.
