Georgia-Abkhazia Railway to be left idle
Georgian Minister for Economic Development Georgy Kvirikashvili said on February 13 that restoration of the railway to Abkhazia, recently discussed by Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili, will not start, RIA Novosti reports.
Georgian Minister for Reintegration Paata Zakareishvili had said earlier that Georgia was ready for restoration of railway communications with Russia within the strategy of de-isolation of Abkhazia, but Abkhazia has shown no interest in the idea so far.
