Foreigners to pass Romanian language exam to get permanent stay permit in Moldova
Foreigners willing to get the right of a permanent stay in Moldova, will have to pass the Romanian language exam, while those willing to obtain the Moldovan citizenship will have to pass an exam certifying the knowledge of the Moldovan constitution, the Education Ministry’s press service has reported.
The Education Ministry’s press service also said that a special commission would verify the foreigners´ level of knowledge of the state language. The file needed to participate in the evaluation will have to contain the following documents: a copy of the identity card, a copy of the stay permit, the graduation certificate of the Romanian language study courses issued by an institution whose programme had been approved by the Education Ministry.
Deputy Education Minister Loretta Handrabura said «those who will pass this exam, will have to demonstrate their capacities of speaking Romanian language, through sufficient understanding of the usual language, of the official information in order to be able to read and understand any social text».
Foreigners wishing to obtain the Moldovan citizenship will pass an exam meant to certify the knowledge of the Moldovan constitution and an exam regarding the state language known level. The state language exam will be passed on the basis of a grill-test worked out by the Education Ministry and will include three tasks: reading, speaking and writing.
