BSEC Secretary General Dr. Victor TVIRCUN visited Vienna to participate in the OSCE Permanent Council Meeting

The Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS Ambassador Dr. Victor TVIRCUN participated in the Permanent Council Meeting of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) which was held on 13-15 February 2013, in Vienna.

During the visit, the Secretary General addressed the OSCE Permanent Council Meeting as a Special Guest. After his statement, Secretary General Ambassador Dr. TVIRCUN was received by H.E. Mr. Lamberto ZANNIER, Secretary General of the OSCE.

The Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS also had bilateral meetings with H.E. Mr. Ihor PROKOPCHUK, Chairman of the OSCE Permanent Council, H.E. Ms. Györgyi MARTIN ZANATHY, Head of Delegation of the European Union to the International Organizations in Vienna, H.E. Mr. Ian KELLY, Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the OSCE and Mr. Adrian DAVIDOIU, Charge d’Affaires ad interim of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the International Organizations in Vienna.

The meetings took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. A wide range of issues of mutual interest were addressed, including environmental protection, combating organized crime and illegal migration. Strengthening the interaction between the two organizations was also discussed.
