North Atlantic Council to visit Tbilisi in the next few months
In the next few months the North Atlantic Council of NATO will visit Georgia. As expected, the delegation will include permanent representatives of the 28 NATO member states, led by the NATO secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
«I want to say that the North Atlantic Council, of course, along with the Secretary General of NATO, quickly agreed to come to Georgia. I can also say that the visit of the North Atlantic Council is a rare event, but we regularly go to Georgia, and this is the main value of this visit. Georgia is a special partner for NATO that is committed to full membership of NATO and therefore, we want to maintain a high level of involvement,» NATO Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai said, adding that now the arties are working on reaching a specific date for the visit.
