Summary of Crimea’s shipbuilding industry operation in 2012
The industry’s flagship – Kerch’s Shipyard "Zaliv" - at the end of 2012 completed a new order of the Norwegian holding “Ulstein Hull As”. This vessel became the tenth, built at the yard on the company’s order, and the sixth vessel delivered to customers in 2012.
Construction of a floating dock at the order of a Portuguese company “Estaleiros Navais de Peniche SA” became a fundamentally new type of work for the enterprise.Shipyard "Zaliv" in 2012 increased production by 25.2% - to 322.5 million UAH.
Shipyard "Primorets" in Feodosiya launched two pilot boats at the order of State Enterprise "Delta Lotsman".
Theodosia’s shipyard “More” launched a frontier-guard boat "Orlan", the first in a planned series of Ukraine’s state target program for the arrangement and reconstruction of the state frontier. In November 2012 another ship was handed over to a foreign customer as part of an intergovernmental contract. Currently 5 more vessels and boats of various classes are under construction at the shipyard.
In 2012, Crimea’s shipbuilding enterprises delivered to customers a total of 12 vessels of various types.
