Number of Adjarian hotels grew by 5% in 2012

In 2012, comparing with 2011, the number of Adjarian hotels grew by 5%. The Adjarian Department of Tourism has declared that in 2011 Adjara had 265 hotels, while in 2012 their number increased up to 278.

In 2012 Adjara had 10367 hotel beds, while in 2011 there were only 10252 of them.

The number of beds in the private hotel business has also grown recently. In 2005 Adjara had only 58 hotels, in 2006 – 66, in 2007 – 73, in 2008 – 99, in 2010 – 103, while in 2011– 243.
