Presentation of Odesa at the Hospitality Industry Forum – one of the best

On February 21, 2013, the International Hoteliers’ “HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY FORUM” was held in Kiev, Ukraine. Odessa was presented by the Municipal Culture and Tourism Dept Head Tatiana Markova.

The following questions have been discussed at the Forum:
- cooperation of the authorities and the hotel business;
- special event creation as the mean of attracting tourists to the city;
- tourism development prospects in Kiev, Odessa and Lvov etc.

Odessa’s presentation turned out to be quite an interesting one for the international partners, and, as a result, it has been recognized to be one of the best. Thus, our city was invited to take part in the analogous international Forum to be held in Moscow.

Odessa Municipal Culture and Tourism Dept Head Tatiana Markova emphasized, “"HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY FORUM" was of very much interest for the representatives of all the international hotel networks, including Hilton, Fairmont, Radisson, Holyday Inn, and there is great interest towards Odessa, as well. On one hand, it is important for us to have such giants of the world hotel industry in our city, and on the other hand, we have to advertise ourselves, too, because we have what to offer. The experience of Odessa’s taking part in the international forums of such a high level prove this”.

On top of that, in Kiev, Odessa’s delegation held negotiations concerning the perspective cooperation with the representatives of Hilton Hotels Corporation in the person of Russia Development Director Vladimir Illyichyov.
Besides, a row of negotiations concerning a series of touristic forums and actions in Odessa has been held with the potential partners, as well.
