Olympics construction brought more than 30 billion rubles of taxes to Kuban budget

Olympics construction in Sochi, carried out at the expense of the Federal budget and private investors, has already brought more than 30 billion rubles of taxes to the Krai budget, Kuban Governor Alexander Tkachyov announced on February 27.

He noted that preparation to the Olympic Games has enabled resolution of a number of city’s problems, Live Kuban reports.

Owing to new sewage treatment facilities and deep-water sewage discharge Sochi currently has a clear sea; in addition to that the city got a new airport and a new railway station in Adler, new traffic interchanges and an alternate Resort Avenue. The city carries out a number of works on beautification and gas supply to the resort, resolution of power problems, and commissions new health care facilities.
