Turkey is No.1 in Europe in phone calls

In 2012, Turkey has been ranked No.1 in Europe by the volume of monthly talks via mobile phone per user.

This was announced by the Turkish Minister of Transport, Shipping and Communications Mr. Binali Yildirim.

According to data for 2012, every mobile communication user in Turkey was on the phone for an average of 291 minutes per month.

The minister added that in 2012 Turkey was No.1 in Europe by the number of SMS messages sent, just as in 2011. Users sent 175 billion of those in last year.
