Romanian President Traian Basescu is sure that with the beginning of oil and gas extraction in the Black Sea, his country will become a regional centre for the production of energy resources.

Romanian leader said about this during a meeting in Bucharest with the largest oil companies of Romania ExxonMobil Exploration Company and OMV-Petrom.

According to preliminary data, ExxonMobil Exploration Company and OMV-Petrom have already invested about EUR 1,5 billion in energy projects in the Black Sea.
