Two Moldovan cross-border points with Ukraine temporarily suspend activity

The activity of the northern Moldova Cosauti – Iampol and Soroca – Tekinovka cross-border points was temporarily suspended, the Border Police has announced.

According to the Border Police’s data, the decision to cease the traffic was taken with the joint agreement of the Ukrainian cooperation bodies due to the significant increase of the Dniester river’s water level.

The Border Police also said that people willing to enter Ukraine would have to use other cross-border points in the area. The Border Police took all measures to increase the capacity of traffic passing at other operational checkpoints in order to avoid traffic congestions.

The activity of the Cosauti – Iampol and Soroca – Tekinovka cross-border points will be restarted once the water level of the Dniester decreases.
