Large-scale reconstruction started in the historic part of Constanța

The city municipality has launched the largest rehabilitation project in Constanța. It includes comprehensive restoration of streets, damaged pavements, and ramshackle and old buildings, as well as renovation of the water supply and sewage system and the street lighting system.

Constanța municipality has received 50 million Euro from European funds for implementation of this project.

It has already commenced three major projects of restoration and integration at the historic part of the city – Ovidiu Square restoration, reconstruction of the embankment and green areas in the sector from Casino to Port Tomis, and restoration of the pedestrian zone at the historic downtown of Constanța.
