Bad weather conditions cause troubles at border crossing points
Most border crossing points between Moldova and Ukraine have stopped working, because of bad weather conditions, according to a press release issued by the Border Police.
The temporary suspending of activity is agreed by authorities from Ukraine and Romania, who are warning participants in the cross border traffic to take into account the weather warnings and to avoid travelling, if no needed.
The Border Police recommends to avoid the following border crossing points, where is difficult to travel because of snow and strong gusts: Briceni – Rossosani, Larga – Kelmenţi, Grimăncăuţi – Vaskivţi, Lipcani – Podvorievka, Medveja – Zelionaia, Cosăuţi - Iampoli and Lipcani- Rădăuţi.
The border authorities had taken all measures to increase the capacity of crossing the checkpoints in order to avoid forming queues, the press release said.
