Turkey to reduce military expenses by settling Kurdish conflict
Turkey has spent a total of about $300 billion on the Kurdish conflict. But it can now reduce expenses, Hurriyet Daily News reports.
Turkey has produced 2,700 armored vehicles since mid-1990s. It will save about $2 billion. Turkey will no longer purchase MQ-1 Predator drones from the US. Combat helicopters produced by AgustaWestland for $3.5 billion will no longer be needed.
