PACE delegation arrives to Bulgaria to monitor election

A six-member delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will visit Bulgaria, April 4 and 5, with a monitoring mission on the elections, the Assembly’s press service announced.

PACE’s envoy group, headed by Swiss social democrat Andreas Gross, will make an assessment of the elections’ structure and the campaign before the early elections in Bulgaria on may 12. In Sofia the delegation will meet with the President, the Prime Minister, the chair of the Central Election Committee, representatives of political parties and coalitions, the civil society and mass media.
