Nine years since Bulgaria joined NATO

On April 2 we mark the ninth anniversary since Bulgaria joined NATO. The Minister of Defense in the caretaker cabinet Todor Tagarev reminded that since then Bulgaria has been part of 13 missions abroad which have been performed by 13 590 military, 750 female officers among them, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo Georgia and other countries.

Commenting the coming parliamentary elections in Bulgaria, Minister Tagarev said that the Defense Ministry is ready to open election sections in Kabul and Kandahar, Afghanistan.
