Turkish PM to discuss Kurdish problem with wisemen
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to meet the 49 members of the Wisemen Council in Istanbul to discuss settlement of the conflict with Kurds. The council will need a month to develop solutions, Hurriyet reports.
Erdogan had a meeting with intelligence agents, justice minister and Vice Premiers Besir Atalay and Bekir Bozdag to discuss the problem.
Turkey has been trying to settle the conflict with leader of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party Abdullah Ocalan since October 2012. The Kurdish leader urged his supporters to withdraw from Turkey, stop resistance and start peaceful negotiations.
