US secretary of state to visit Turkey on April 6

US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Istanbul on April 6 to meet his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu on April 7.

The sides agreed to organize the visit in a telephone conversation on March 30. The officials will discuss the situation in Syria, Iraq, Iran and Cyprus and the Mavi Marmara incident.

Kerry will then visit Israel and Palestine.

The secretary of state made his previous visit to Ankara on March 1.
