President of the European Olympic Committee to visit Baku

The head of the European Olympic Committee, Patrick Hickey, will visit Azerbaijan with an assessment committee at the end of April, the chairman of the Olympic Games EOC, Efraim Zinger, said in Baku today. Hickey will set the place and date of the first European Olympic Games in Azerbaijan in 2015, and get more familiar with the conditions created.

Zinger said he was confident in the high level of the Games in Azerbaijan. The EOC Committee chairman promised that wrestling will remain in the Olympic program - although the final decision will be taken at the IOC Congress in September in Argentina.
