Moldovan average salary up by 6.8 per cent

In February 2013, the gross nominal average salary amounted to 3,380.1 lei (209 euros), increasing by 6.8 per cent against the same period of 2012, according to data put out by the National Statistics Bureau (BNS).

The head of the BNS’s labour market and demography department, Elena Vitcarau, said that the average wage in the budgetary sector had been of 3,097.5 lei in February 2013, increasing by 2.3 per cent against the same period of 2012.

At the same time, the wage in the economic sector reached the amount of 3,498.2 lei, going up by 8.1 per cent.

The BNS data do not cover the districts from the left bank of the Dnister river and Bender municipality.
