Baku hosts conference on 90th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev

Azerbaijani Minister for Economy Shakhin Mustafayev has made a speech at the conference on the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijani National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Baku.

The minister emphasized that Azerbaijan was the leader of investments per capita in the Eastern Europe and the CIS. Growth of the non-petroleum sector exceeded growth of the GDP 2.7-fold. The non-petroleum GDP increased by an average of 10% a year in the past two years and by 11.1% in Q1 2013.

Azerbaijan received $32 billion of investments, 60% of which targeted the non-petroleum sector. Azerbaijan will launch about 100 industrial facilities in 2013 and continue building 90 more. The external debt of Azerbaijan totals 7.5%, currency reserves total about 70% of the GDP, budget deficit totals about 1% of the GDP.MPs, scientists, businessmen, officials of the presidential administration made speeches.
