Azerbaijan and Latvia to cooperate in field of agriculture

An agreement on cooperation in the field of agriculture was signed on April 25, 2013 in Baku between Azerbaijan and Latvia. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Agriculture Ismet Abbasov of Azerbaijan and his Latvian counterpart, Laimdota Straujuma.

The Azerbaijani minister stressed that there is a great potential between the countries for cooperation in various spheres of the economy.

In turn, the Latvian Minister noted great potential for cooperation in the agricultural sector of the country, citing the achievements of Latvia in the field.
