Swimming season in Sochi opened a month earlier than expected

4 new beaches, located at the Imeretin Valley near the Olympic park, have been opened for vacationers. Alexey Grachyov, Resort and Tourism Department Manager at the Sochi Administration, informed on May 13 that the city had a total of 82 municipal and health hotel beaches.

Sochi authorities intend to lay special emphasis on the family recreation this year. According to A. Grachyov, beach renters have received recommendations to arrange more amusement areas for children and to cut down the number of «technical areas», where water cycles, unsafe banana boats, and other swimming devices are given for rent.
