Foreign investments in Bulgaria 49% down in 12 months

During the first trimester of the year foreign investments in Bulgaria are by 8% larger than in the same period of the previous year and amount to EUR 257.1 million or 0.6% of GDP.

The figures are provided by the Central Bank of Bulgaria. Most investments are directed to communications and logistics – 102 million; to the processing industry – 48 million; the financial sector – 42.5 million. In the last 12 months, however, foreign investments have been EUR 1.06 billion, which is by 49% less than in the preceding twelve months.
