Odessa airport to launch new terminal in August 2014

The Ministry of Infrastructure forecasts that the new passenger terminal of the Odessa airport will be commissioned in August 2014.

According to the Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Kozak, the foundation works for the future terminal have been already completed.

The construction of the new landing strip will be commenced in July 2013, cfts.org.ua informs.

After the reconstruction the area of the air terminal complex will grow by 3 times up to 26 thousand square meters, and the carrying capacity of the airport will rise from 400 to 1000 passengers per hour (1.5-2 million people a year).
