Russia to supply fighters to Syria under the old contract

The supply of approximately ten MiG-29 fighters to Syria will be arranged in accordance with the old contract, Day.az reports.

According to a source at the Russian defense and industrial sector, this contract was concluded long time ago.

The source has explained that there are no plans to sign new deals at the Russian capital – at present we are speaking about the renewal of previous agreements.

According to earlier information from certain mass media, quoting the General Manager of Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG Sergey Korotkov, the corporation expects to supply more than 10 MiG-29 M- M2 fighters to Syria, and negotiations with the Syrian delegation on the terms and details of the potential contract are now conducted in Moscow.
