Ternopil (U 209) and Khmelnytskyi (U 208) Corvettes in cooperation with Navy aviation work out training combat tasks in the Black Sea
Saturday, June 1. BLACK SEA REGION – Ternopil (U 209) and Khmelnytskyi (U 208) Corvettes of the Ukrainian Navy worked out a range of training combat tasks in the Black Sea.
Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi Corvettes in cooperation with the Be-12 aircraft hit naval and air targets, completed depth bombing, conducted a number of exercises and trainings.
The corvette crews worked out the elements of the second course task. In order to provide the crews of ships with necessary guidance and assistance in the sea, top experts of the Navy Command, senior management of the surface ship brigade of the Naval Operations Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also participated in the event.
“In general, the personnel actions, operation of equipment are positively assessed,” noted Capt. 1st Rank Ihor Terekhin, Chief of Section, Top Experts, Directorate for Combat Training, Navy Command, Armed Forces of Ukraine. “Final conclusions will be made upon consideration of the objective control data,” he added.
