Railway station construction accomplished in Krasnaya Polyana

All construction, assembly, and finishing are over. A number of development and beatification works have been carried out at the railway station square and major engineering networks have been already commissioned.

The station is the final point of the 48-km railroad, leading from the Olympic park to Krasnaya Polyana and mountain skiing resorts, Live Kuban reports.

Railway station construction was commenced in April 2010. The area of approximately 15 thousand meters currently includes the commuter service station and two platforms with canopies. The engineering protection of the construction site, adjacent to the mountain slope, has been also arranged.

During the time of the Olympics the Krasnaya Polyana station will receive up to 8.5 thousand passengers an hour.
