Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia to discuss Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway construction
Transportation authorities of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia will meet in Kars to discuss the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway construction on June 26.
The project includes construction of a 105-km railway line and reconstruction of the Akhalkalaki-Marabda-Tbilisi section in Georgia. The line will have a capacity of 30 million tons of goods a year.
The railway will be connected with the EU as soon as construction of the Marmaray Tunnel under the Bosphorus is completed.
