New submarines to be located in Novorossiysk
New “Warszawianka” submarines will be located in Novorossiysk.
The first three 636 submarines of “Warszawianka” type, which should join the Black Sea fleet, will be based at the Novorossiysk Naval Base – such information was announced on July 4 by the Russian Deputy Minister of Defense Yuri Borisov at the International Maritime Defense Show in St. Petersburg.
According to the earlier information from the Ministry of Defense, the issue of deployment of these submarines has not been decided yet – they may be based both in Sevastopol and in Novorossiysk.
