Remains of prehistoric animals discovered in Armavir
Scientists of Armavir city in Krasnodar Krai have discovered skulls of prehistoric animals.
During their expedition to Kuban scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences have found the skulls of geporion, rhinoceros, deer, and gazelle.
The remains are not well preserved and have been hardly retrieved from the ground. Archeologists say that the discovery’s age is approximately 13 million years.
Employees of the Armavir museum of regional studies have informed that the remains are now under restoration at laboratories.
