Moldovan servicemen show high proficiency level at Rapid Trident 2013 exercise

“Servicemen of the 22nd peacekeeping battalion of the Moldovan Armed Forces showed good performances at the Exercise Rapid Trident 2013, at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center in Yavoriv, Ukraine,” thinks Andrii Zakharov, head of the Parachute Regiment of the Ukrainian Airborne Forces. 

According to the press service of the Moldovan Ministry of Defense, he said that Moldovan servicemen have successfully jumped from helicopters and airplanes from altitudes of 700 and 3,500 meters, using the MC 5 parachutes.  

“Moldovan military men are also able to independently undertake responsible and correct decisions. 

As many as 60 Moldovan servicemen took part in the two-week drills, together with their colleagues from other states. Approximately 1,300 troops from 17 countries, including host Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey and the U.S. participated in this year's exercise.
