Russian, Moldovan, Serbian presidents to visit Kyiv for anniversary of Christianity of Kievan Rus

The presidents of Russia, Moldova and Serbia have confirmed their attendance of the celebration of the 1,025th anniversary of the Christianity of Kievan Rus, Director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's Information Policy Department Yevhen Perebyinis briefed the press on Tuesday.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its foreign diplomatic missions sent official invitations of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and the Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Volodymyr to the celebrations that will take place in Kyiv to the heads of a number of states, and primates of 15 local Orthodox churches. The presidents of Russia, Moldova and Serbia have confirmed their participation," he said.

Perebyinis also added that heads of 9 representative delegations of 6 local Orthodox churches have confirmed their attendance too.
