Issue on creation of the single “Black Sea” tourism brand to be introduced to the agenda of the Ukrainian and Turkish tourism group
The issue on creation of the single “Black Sea” tourism brand has been raised in the framework of the Crimean delegation meeting with the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Abdurrahman Arıcı and the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Özgür Özaslan.
According to the Crimean Minister of Resorts and Tourism Alexander Liyev, the Black Sea region has huge tourism potential. However, to make it more demanded by tourists, efforts of all its countries should be combined to promote the Black Sea as the single tourism area.
This issue has been already discussed in the framework of the International Black Sea tourism forum, conducted in Yalta in February 2012. At that time representatives of the Black Sea region countries, participating in the event, have expressed their willingness to join their efforts for creation and promotion of the single Black Sea tourism brand “Go to the Black Sea”. Creation and promotion of the single brand has been also discussed in the framework of the meeting of the BSEC tourism working group, conducted in Yalta in February 2012.
Abdurrahman Arıcı has informed that Turkish Government supports the single tourism brand concept. “I support this idea in general. For its efficient implementation we need to engage commercial and nongovernmental organizations into this work”, – Abdurrahman Arıcı has added.
Özgür Özaslan has also noted that “the most efficient way is to consider this idea in the framework of the Ukrainian and Turkish tourism group at its next meeting”.
