Roshen doubts results of checks of its products by Rospotrebnadzor
Roshen Corporation has addressed the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Service (Rospotrebnadzor) with the requirement to provide documents proving the existence of claims to the Corporation's products.
It is because of doubts about the correctness of the selection of confectionery samples used for analyzes, Ukrinform reported citing Svit 24.
"A statement by Gennady Onishchenko that samples of the Corporation's milk chocolate selected at Moscow supermarkets "do not correspond to the declared parameters" due to the content of benzopyrene, are not the accusation of violating the Customs Union rules," the company noted.
The Corporation stressed that the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union set the standards for the content of benzopyrene, but they are restricted to children's food products as well as products for breastfeeding and pregnant women. Moreover, these rules apply to all EU countries, not just Russia and Ukraine.
