Azerbaijan to renew its bus fleet

In the coming years Azerbaijan will receive 1500 new buses. The renewal is planned to be completed prior to the 1st European Summer Olympic Games to be held in Azerbaijan in 2015, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Transport Namik Hasanov said.

The renewal of the bus fleet in Azerbaijan is being carried out in parallel with the introduction of a system online-payment for transport.

According Hasanov, buses will be mainly imported from South Korea and Turkey. "Our guiding principle is to ensure the comfort and safety of our passengers," APA quotes him as saying.
