Central Bank’s reserve went up US$32.1 million in July
The National Bank of Moldova’s reserve assets had reached US$2,498 million as by the end of July 2013, having grown by US$32.1 million in July.
According to the NBM, the largest proportion of the assets was concentrated in the securities – US$1.6 billion against US$1,596 million in June. Deposits grew up by almost US$28 million reaching US$891 million. An absolute majority of the deposits (US$849 million) were in banks having head offices outside Moldova.
The NBM reserve assets broke their historic record in the first month of this year, when they exceeded US$2,525 million as of February 1, 2013.
