Kravchuk: Draft law on amendments to Constitution may appear in autumn 2014

The first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk predicts that the draft law on amendments to the Constitution may appear in the autumn of 2014.

The politician said this at a news conference in Ukrinform on Tuesday.

"If we approve the concept in October [to the Constitution - ed.], and we are convinced that it is real, it is not somewhere in a very long time, we can proceed to the most important task, which is put before the Constitutional Assembly, namely - preparation of a draft law on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine. Such a draft law, previously I can say, could be prepared in autumn 2014," Kravchuk predicted.

According to him, the concept of changes to the Constitution makes 60 percent of understanding of what should be a constitutional reform.
