Centre of Medical Training Simulation opened in Moldova
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca August 29 participated in the official opening of the Centre of Medical Training Simulation of the Nicolae Testemiteanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
It is the first in Moldova, as well as in the region, the government’s communication and press relations department has reported.
The virtual and simulation training are recognized as the most inoffensive and efficient methods of training against the costs. Students, doctors, paramedics, employees of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, policemen, servicemen, employees of the special purpose services, of guard services and firemen will be trained in the centre. They will have the opportunity to simulate the medical service via new information technologies, which will increase the patient’s security and safety.
“I believe that the results will be good, and the Moldovan medical training quality will increase by adjusting it to the European medical requirements,” Leanca said. He thanked all partners involved in the centre’s creation.
For his part, Health Minister Andrei Usatii said that the centre would allow those people involved in giving first aid to improve their skills.
The EU delegation provided 4.4 million euros for the reconstruction of building and the centre’s training equipment. The From Heart to Heart International Organisation contributed to providing the family medicine department with up-to-date equipment. The Swiss government offered advanced simulators and gave training courses in similar centres from abroad. The country bureau of the World Health Organisation backed the project’s implementation.
