Turkey's Egypt envoy returns to office
Turkey's ambassador to Cairo, who was recalled to Ankara due to deteriorated Turkish-Egyptian relations, will return back to Egypt today, Hürriyet newspaper reported on Wednesday.
Ambassador Huseyin Avni Botsali was recalled from Cairo on August 16 for consultations. In response, Egypt recalled its ambassador to Ankara Abdurrahman Salahaddin.
Relations between Turkey and Egypt have been deteriorated recently. Egypt accuses Turkey of intervening in its internal affairs. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan earlier said that Egyptian army committed genocide against its own nation while suppressing demonstrations of Morsi's supporters, as a result of which over 2000 civilians were killed.
