Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill ends visit to Moldova
Head of Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill ended his three-day visit to Moldova today.
Before leaving, the high hierarch delivered a speech, stressing that his visit was fruitful and had helped him understand the subtext of more problems faced by Moldova. “I had a number of meetings, which helped me have a clear-cut viewpoint on the situation here. I appreciate the dialogue I had with Chisinau authorities and Transnistrian administration and I am sure that an open dialogue can be set at the basis for solving the Transnistrian conflict”, the Patriarch declared.
During his visit, the high prelate had meetings with Moldovan leadership, officiated a liturgy outside the Chisinau-based Birth of God Cathedral and gave a public speech to Tiraspol citizens.
