Ukrainie to open honorary consulate in Burgas

Ukraine will open an honorary consulate in Bulgaria with the Bulgarian government's approval, the government press office announced.

The consulate will be located in Burgas and its jurisdiction will cover the territory of Burgas, Yambol, Targovishte, Sliven and Shumen.

Dimitar Karanenov was appointed from Kiev as the new consulate's honorary consul. Karanenov graduated from Stavropol Polytechnic University and the University of Economics in Varna. He has worked in various positions in the Balkan Tourist, including being the CEO of the company. Currently, Karanenov owns a travel agency.

"The opening of the honorary consulate of Ukraine in the region will have a positive effect and will promote effective cooperation on issues related to the protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens during their holiday on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast ", the government press service noted.
