Turkey carries out large-scale anti-drug operation

On Tuesday 2013-0924 Turkish Security Forces held large-scale operation against drug traffickers in Eastern Province of Diyarbekir.

According to the statement, 24 teams from the Turkish Gendarmerie and three units from the Anti-Drug department of Secretariat General on Turkey's security participated in the operation. Three helicopters are involved in the operation as well.

Reported that the operation is directed against drug traffickers connected with the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party.
