Forum of transport infrastructure to be held first time in Ukraine

The first Ukrainian forum of transport infrastructure will be held October 15-16 in Kyiv.

The press service of the Infrastructure Ministry informs about this, which is the organizer of the event, jointly with the British Adam Smith Institute.

"The Ukrainian forum of transport infrastructure 2013 will take place for the first time October 15-16 in Kyiv. The forum will focus on the creation of a mechanism to attract private investors to transportation infrastructure projects in Ukraine," a statement reads.

The forum is a review of changes in all four key segments of the transport market: at ports, airports, road networks, and on the railway; discussion of the port reform and its first results; reorganization of the Ukrainian Railways Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukravtodor, raising their funding, the prospects of projects in Ukraine through public-private partnerships; practical examples of facilities management in Ukrainian transport infrastructure from private owners, airport management: perspectives of public-private partnerships, development of regional airports, liberalization of air transport, regional experience in implementing infrastructure projects, European and international examples and practice of infrastructure projects' implementation.

The event will be attended by Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul, Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Kozak, representatives of European and international financial institutions, expert organizations and business leaders of Ukrainian infrastructure enterprises and leading private companies in the transportation industry.
