Azerbaijani embassy resumes activity in Egypt
The Azerbaijani embassy in Egypt has fully resumed its activity. All diplomats who had previously left on account of the worsening situation in the country returned to Cairo, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the country Shahin Abdullayev told Trend October 24.
According to him, after the events in the country, an ambassador and a diplomat worked at the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission.
The remaining diplomats and their families were evacuated from Egypt in late August after the situation deteriorated in the country.
According to the ambassador, some Azerbaijani citizens who worked and studied in the country before these events returned with the diplomats to Egypt.
"It is relatively quiet in Egypt now," Abdullayev said. "But one cannot say that the situation is completely stabilised."
