Construction of new airdrome in Azerbaijan to be realized by Turkish companies

Turkish company HAVELSAN has joined the project to build an airdrome in Azerbaijan, General Manager and CEO of HAVELSAN Sadik Yamac told.

According to the general manager, though the Azerbaijani government at first announced the project of the modernization of Sitalchay airdrome, later the plan was changed.

The construction of the new military airdrome has been started. The Turkish Koza Savunma company has been commissioned with the construction of the new military airdrome and HAVELSAN with works related to the integration and programming.

In general, all IT systems at the airdrome will be provided by HAVELSAN.

The place of the airdrome, which is under construction near Baku, has not made public yet.
