Chinese companies planning to build two oil refineries in Ukraine – Minister

The government conducts negotiations with Chinese companies about construction of two oil refineries in Ukraine.

Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky told journalists about this Wednesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Negotiations continue. Two sites have been considered: in Kherson region and Odesa, in Kherson region on the basis of the former oil refinery. There is the owner there, we also conduct negotiations with him, and in Odesa - on a new site,” Stavytsky noted.

He added that according to preliminary estimates, the amount of investments in those projects will be USD 1.5-2 billion.
