Violations of the embargo on seaborne imports of Russian petroleum products from Black Sea ports into the EU in June 2023 (database)

The Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies and BlackSeaNews reports on the results of its own monitoring of violations of the EU and G7 embargo on the seaborne imports of Russian petroleum products from the ports on the Black and Azov Seas into EU countries (the embargo) in June 2023 (see Table 1).
Note! The information provided does not apply to crude oil – the results of monitoring violations of the embargo on the imports of crude oil are presented separately.

In June 2023, 22 violations of the EU embargo on seaborne imports of Russian petroleum products (excluding crude oil) from the Black Sea were recorded.
7 direct voyages with petroleum products from Russian ports to the ports of EU countries were made.
The remaining 14 voyages included delivery of petroleum products to transshipment points: 12 – in the Laconian Gulf off the coast of Greece, 2 – off the coast of Malta.
In June 2023, 730.497 tons of Russian petroleum products were delivered directly to the ports of EU countries, compared with 896.840 tons in May 2023 and 726.210 tons in April 2023.
Direct tanker voyages were made to the following ports:

AGIOI THEODOROI (Greece),

THESSALONIKI (Greece),
7 direct voyages to the ports of EU countries and USA were made by tankers owned by companies from Greece, Turkey, Russia and Norway.
14 voyages to the transshipment point were made by tankers belonging to shipowners registered in the following countries:
