IAEA experts visited Turkey's first nuclear power station site

Experts of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) visited the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) on September 4 in Mersin city in south of Turkey.

Group of experts observed the drilling works both in the sea and at the field, geological soil examinations at the field, laboratorial works over the soil's physical and mechanic features.

Later on, they headed to the weather centre and its towers.

After their visit they held a meeting and IAEA experts stated that they found the organization of field works being held at the Akkuyu NPP technically successful.
